The Sub-tropics/Tropics for Seagrasses Raised with Livestock & Fisheries
Because of access to sea water by island coastal waterways, subtropical areas like the Mediterranean with pastoral farming scenarios would also be ideal for seagrass farming technological applications. As seagrass growth is perfuse in all marine environments it is possible to transplant them to pool or paddy farming sites to feed traditional sheep (for hair) and goat (for milk, cheese) raising. Portugal and even Greece, as e. g. countries, might be ideal for such primary industries and manufacturing. Animal pollutions might be addressed by seagrass-fed pastoral farming where livestock give back naturally to the soil and fish co-exist in 'pooled culture'. Even coastal northern Africa might be convinced to launch into both salmonid fisheries and seagrass 'pastoral-related' farm production operations as can and has already begun in some Arabian countries by the Gulf to provide for both livestock and fisheries and animal protein to address malnutrition in their countries of origin.
[In future subtropical/tropical scenarios are being prognosticated for the cropping of "giant" grasses for prolific high quality forage fed with Italian fine-bred water buffaloes even cross-bred with the native Indian breeds and Philippine carabao. This could be the boosted version of caprine goatary milk production to answer to increased population demand or pressure for cheese and other popular milk food products (MFP). We predict that enterprise, modernity and further innovation will rule over such scapes as the Mediterranean isles and coastlines around Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa as a boon to those fast-developing economies.]
Tourism Partners in Subtropical Climes
Green farming as described previously will be a huge draw card to tourism around the Mediterranean Sea area. There will be resorts and farms to serve both the food needs in communities subsisting with resort developments and servicing products for local food producers to supplement imports which can relieve supply-demand pressures for this luxury class conveniences and their cost to the tourist marketplace.
Gourmet food centres with media publicity and production will arise in these subtropical luxury resorts and urban scapes to promote and help elevate the food marketplace and its perception with the public for sales and marketing and eventually to Europe and Overseas.
